Our Home Sweet Home
We don't want to wear you out, so lets come inside! Here's what you see when you first enter the front door. Our entry way walks into our dining room. (These indoor pictures were taken in December, so you will see all our Christmas decorations too!)
This is looking back at our front door and entry way.
Here's more of our dining room.
And the rest of our dining room.
This is our family room--which we have turned into our living room. The Christmas tree is a cedar we cut down out of our woods.
Here is the living room at night--with the Christmas tree all lit up and sparkling. :)
More of the living room. This is currently Robert's corner and desk--he is a missionary who stays with us off and on while doing his fundraising before launching with AFM. (He was one of our best men in our wedding). We've been temporary housing for a LOT of missionaries this year, which has been SUCH a blessing! :) We don't mind the extra clutter if it means helping them.
We are now leaving the living room, and going to walk back through the dining room towards the kitchen.
Here is our sweet little kitchen! The closet doors on the right are hiding the washing machine and dryer, making it convenient for doing laundry! (even if it is a bit noisy)
Here's a closer look inside the kitchen.
More of the kitchen. I love the coziness of it!
Here's looking back from the kitchen to the living room.
Here's a view of our office from the kitchen. The door on the far end goes to our second porch on the front side of the house.
More of the office. That closed door at the far end (facing us) goes to the "chalk room". (you'll see it at the end of the tour)
Looking back at the office from the other side of the room.
Now we are leaving the office and headed towards the bedrooms. Those three doorways are (L-R) Guest room, Bathroom, and Master Bedroom.
Looking around the guest room.
And here is our little bathroom. Can you tell what our favorite color is? Green!
More of the bathroom. (I couldn't get the other walls, because the bathroom is so small)
This is our master bedroom. Don't get dizzy--we're going to spin you around the room!
Looking to the right from inside the room.
Standing in the far right corner, looking to the right at the other wall.
Looking towards the door (to the right of the door), headed back out.
Welcome to our "chalk room!" It has been named thus because it is the room that contains our black-light chalk board, where Daniel is learning how to do chalk art. We sometimes refer to this room as our "everything room" because it has SO many functions! This room is decorated as our "Africa room" with all of Daniel's souvenirs from Africa. It also serves as our server room, sewing room, nature collection, guest office space, cool storage for our fruits and veggies (in fall/winter), extra storage for stuff, and last, but not least, our online store inventory storage and shipping department! In this photo, you are looking at shelves of inventory.
Here's the sewing table and nature collection.
Our "server" desk (with Namibian flag/map above it)
And this is the black-light chalk board that Daniel and Pastor McComb built this spring. (It has a marker board sitting on it)
