Kristina made a quick trip up to Indiana and back, to pick up Grandma from Aunt Bonnie's house in Indiana. Aunt Bonnie had surgery and Grandma helped her for a couple weeks.
Danielle is FINALLY back from India! Horray! This is the sign our church posted in town for her homecoming.
Our neighbor's turkey putting on a nice show for Grandma.
The view from just down the road.
Moonbow bridge at Cumberland Falls
The wild Cumberland River.
Some of our many rock walls around
Grandma's first glimpse of Cumberland Falls.
Grandma by the falls

We got there at the perfect time to see a double rainbow in the mist!
Isn't that beautiful?
The sun glare makes the mist look like smoke
Exploring the gift shop... here's what they do with junk yards in Kentucky ;)
Don't you want one?
Everything you can imagine...
Even a dog dish holder!
Another viewpoint farther up the road
Ridges and more ridges
Grandma wearing her birthday gift--see it?
Grandma's visit ended too soon, when Uncle Dan came and got her in his truck.
Beautiful roses that Daniel bought for Kristina for their 20-month lunaversary!
A cute little puzzle that Daniel drew for Kristina.... Any clue what it might be? She didn't have any idea....
...until she followed the key and connected the dots! :D
On Sabbath afternoon, Daniel and Lucas went exploring up to Buzzard Rock to see a beautiful view of the Big South Fork...

It's it pretty up there?

Look at the sky!
You can see a LONG ways up there

More of the river
They stayed up there long enough to watch the sunset, then hiked back down.
What a great way to end a wonderful day!
The contraptions we see driving down the road around here...
Sunset in Tennessee at Sarah's house
Our old bathtub and rotting wallboard needed replacing, so we asked our friend Randy to help us.
Randy and Daniel brought the bathtub and tub enclosure home on top of Randy's SUV.
Unfortunately, when we tried to install the tub, it was defective. Since it was raining, I got to be the one to return the tub in our Tercel.
Never knew a 5-ft tub could fit in the back!
Our completed garden tub (with jets!) and shower enclosure, after a lot of sweat, blood, and tears for Randy! We are forever grateful for his help.
Thanksgiving morning, Daniel and Lucas watched Kristina making sweet potato balls for dinner.
There they are! Yummy.......
We spent Thanksgiving with Daniel's family at the Soler's house. We had a fun time talking and playing games together.
Daniel trying to solve a brain teaser puzzle that Raphael had invented.
Kristina trying to solve another brain teaser while he was at it.
Daniel and Lucas joined Daniel's family and some Somerset friends for a hike at Natural Arch.
That evening, Daniel's family came over to help us cut and decorate a Christmas tree in our living room.
Our Christmas decorating supper..... fruit soup, popcorn, and hot carob!
Decorating the tree.
Dad doing his favorite activity.
Mom helping with the dishes after supper.
Stringing the tinsel.

Our Christmas Photo for the year.
Sunday, we traveled to Mammoth Cave to meet up with Kristina's cousin, Michael and his girlfriend, Sarah.
Riding the shuttle to the cave entrance.
Walking down into the cave.
Into the deep dark cave....
It was very rocky in there, but we enjoyed seeing all the different layers of rock.
There were some unique formations in there too!
The camera can't get it all in....
This was one of our favorites. :)
Massive pillars!
Seeing the sunshine again, as we left the cave.

Some of the view on one of the trails we walked down.

The two lovebirds ;)
A little trickle of a falls...
Kristina trying to take some unique photos of the trees...
Here's what they looked like
Very unique!
Four of us could barely reach around the tree, it was SO big!
And that's what it looked like at the top.
The very top.
Sarah convinced Michael to crawl across the tree with her.
Lucas had to try it too.
The deer around were lots of fun to watch.
View through the trees
Our parting shot before heading home.
Goodbye deer!
