One of our favorite hikes the whole year, was the one we took in June to Dog Slaughter Falls. The trail is less than 10 miles from our house, and is an easy trail winding through the woods.
Kristina exploring off the trail.
Beautiful wild Rhododendrum flowers.
Rhododendrum bushes lining the creek.
Evening sun shining through the trees making beautiful reflections on the water!

Exploring around the falls.
Climbing through massive boulders.
Our prize photo of Dog Slaughter Falls, by far our best picture of the year!
Daniel's Grandparents came to visit, so we decided to let them help us decorate our kitchen and living room. Here's Daniel putting the finishing touches on the ivy.
Stringing grape ivy above our laundry-room closet.
Putting up a quilt hanger we received as a wedding gift.
One of Daniel's clients server rooms--which has become our office away from home several days a week for several months.

Papa and Daniel having a fun conversation.
We had SO much rain this summer that we grew the biggest mushrooms I've ever seen! This one is 8 inches tall, 6.5 inches across.
It's one massive mushroom for just growing in the yard!
A tree in our yard blew down during one of our big storms.
We're just thankful that big thing didn't hit the house!
Daniel and Robert building racks and servers at the health department.
Oh no! Robert's in jail!
After building 22 servers, Kristina got the fun job of installing operating systems on them all--7 servers at a time!

Messiah's Mansion sanctuary came to Nashville, TN, so we drove down for a tour.

We took advantage of being in Nashville to visit our friends, Joel and Marijke. This is their apartment.
We spent Sunday at the botanical gardens. It was a hot day, but the beauty was worth it!

Kristina's birthday--Daniel fixed up the dining room and helped her make a special meal.
French toast, strawberry topping, fruit salad, and lemon pudding for dessert! Yummy....
Happy 26th Birthday, Kristina!
