We took more pictures this time--this is some of us working hard in the kitchen, fixing all the food for the reception! (There seems to be a trend here....)

We arrived at our campsite, unloaded our canoes, and heard a low rumble of thunder in the distance! We quickly put up our tents, threw our sleeping bags inside, closed all the containers, and dove in just as it began to pour buckets! (Looking from the tent window)

We watched the rain from this little window for over an hour. Then we realized that we were floating in a puddle of water! Our tent pad had no drainage! Daniel went out and dug a trench around our tent, and then we were fine. At least we stayed dry!

The next morning, it was sprinkling off and on, but not enough to keep us from exploring! We got into our canoes and set off to see what we could find. (Note the rain in the distance.)

Nellie couldn't take it any longer, she jumped into the water and started swimming to Amber! She was rescued and put back into the canoe, much to her relief!
