Canoeing, Camping at Laurel Lake, Aunt Rosie's wedding.
Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4 Show AllThen we ate a delicious breakfast of baked potatoes and hotdogs, took down camp, and loaded up the canoes.
Esther came to visit us for a week, so she and I decided to can some more salsa. We did 28 pints and 3 quarts! Yummy!
Esther was preparing to leave as a missionary to Nepal shortly, so we had fun helping her shop for things and get ready for her trip in a few weeks.
Daniel cutting a little plot for our salad garden next spring. He dug it up and we put a half a bale of alfalfa on it. Hopefully that will help the top soil to rejuvinate!
Esther and Kristina took a little field trip to where they make sorghum. The sorghum stalks are juiced and then boiled on here.
It comes out as sorghum syrup on the end where the guy is sitting. We can get it cheaper than honey. Yummy!
Esther and Kristina also went to an orchard and picked 5 bushels of apples. The next day they made 58 qts of applesauce! (There's two qts. apple juice from the boiled apples.) Later, Daniel and Kristina made 22 qts of chunky applesauce, making our total 80 qts!
Kristina watching David take over her computer! There was nothing she could do about it... lol We had a blast!
Kristina spent a fun day down at the Knoxville Zoo with her friend Sarah and kids. Here are some of the birds they saw.
