Daniel brought Kristina a beautiful bouquet of Carnations.
Kristina making soy candles at Women's Retreat.
So cute!
Heather and Joy invited Kristina to join them for her very first Women's retreat. Chelsey (not pictured) went with her to help with the driving.
The tables were beautifully decorated for every meal.
The fruit table was loaded the whole weekend.
The fountain added a refreshing calmness to the dining area.
Sabbath morning dawned cool, crisp, and beautiful
Kristina texting Daniel. It was our first time to be apart for more than a few hours, since our wedding day! It was hard for both of us.
The beautiful new chapel at the camp.
The lake was so pretty.
There were boat rides for those who wanted to ride.
Caroline, one of the friends Kristina made there.
A Sabbath afternoon activity...
The finished tree, waiting for leaves...
Each lady got to put their hand print on the tree.
Kay Kuzma, the guest speaker for the weekend, putting her hand on the tree.
Kristina washing her hands off afterwards.
The completed tree!
Saturday night, there was an expo for people to share their ministry ideas and have things for sale. This was Kristina's booth for Discovering His Treasures. (The fruit table made a nice bonus backdrop!)
Kristina's cabin on Sunday morning... can you guess which one is Kristina? (Yes, the blue sleeping bag sprawled across the mattress!
Last meeting with Kay Kuzma. Her meetings were very personal and a real blessing to all.
Meanwhile, while Kristina was still at the retreat on Sunday, Daniel and Lucas decided to go caving!
Some of their interesting findings...
A bat
Lucas and Jimmy all nicely muddy.
The cave explorers taking a self portrait.
Our marigolds seemed to not stop growing! This one was over FIVE feet tall!
Lucas walking home from the school bus stop.
The next Sabbath, we spent at the Klingbeil's house and walked around their place.
The fall colors reflecting off the lake were SO beautiful! Daniel and I had to stop just to take it all in.
Perfect reflection
We also did an object lesson activity on that walk, which is why Kristina has her notepaper in hand. :)
The girls and their friends enjoying the pony.
Puff ball mushrooms gone to spores
Can you guess what is in this hole?
Honey Bees!
We ended the evening with a bonfire, a nice vespers, and a hot-dog roast with a group of friends who came to join in.
Pastor Sam giving the vespers thought.
Lucas decided to teach us how to make authentic Austrian Apple Strudel.
He took some of the completed Strudel to the International Fair at the Community College.
Doesn't it look yummy?
For Daniel's birthday, Kristina made a lemon pie with mandarin oranges...
and a nice meal for two. (Lucas spent the evening at a ball game)
Yes, another trip! This time to Savannah, TN to help with a friend's wedding. Kristina was the wedding coordinator.
Last minute help!
Groomsmen helped to carry lasagne into the reception hall minutes before the wedding!
Our friend, Joel, made a yummy vegan cake.
The flower arranger making the last bouquet--the bride's :)
Bridesmaids and Groomsmen all lined up to march in.
Kristina and the Bible boy waiting for them to go in.
Autumn, the happy bride, with her Dad.
Kristina and one of the ushers manning the doors.
Daniel's job was to make sure the car was well taken care of. :) Here the flower girl helps put on the finishing touches.
After the wedding, we camped with our dear friends, Israel and Kyla. Can you tell Daniel is tired after the long wedding weekend?
Another Sabbath with the Klingbeils! This time a picnic and hike at Natural Arch.
We were there at the perfect time for fall colors!
Heather enjoying the view
Nice view of the Natural Arch with all the fall colors (the camera doesn't do it justice)
This arch is 50 feet high and 90 feet long of solid rock!
Love the colors!
The red maples were the prettiest.
Daniel enjoying the view
Almost to the arch
View from the top of the arch
More view from the top
Lucas climbing around
Kristina stayed back with Mom and the girls while the guys explored the top.
Daniel and Lucas taking a rest.
Another red maple
Another trip! Surprise Baby shower for Kyla and Israel. We had a blast :)
At a friend's shop, Israel talking to Lawrence (the one up high)
One last trip for the month... We had Elder's meetings down at ICC. (Same place where the women's retreat was)
The reflection was pretty on the lake, so we stopped for a photo on our way home.
More fall colors, up the driveway for ICC.
We took a scenic highway on the way back home, and stopped several times for pictures.
