Kristina's Kansas Trip, Snow in KY, California Trip, Washington DC.

Our "adopted brother", David Armstrong, lost his Grandfather. Daniel couldn't take time off work, so Kristina drove to Kansas for Grandpa's funeral.
Grandpa had served as a medic in the military, so he was given the 21 gun salute and military honors from both the Marines and the Navy.

After the funeral, God gave us a special gift of a very beautiful sunset. The next few pictures were taken at a nature preserve in Wichita, KS that evening.

Back at home in Kentucky, it started snowing a few days later.

We don't have a snow shovel, but the broom worked fairly well--we just got more exercise that way! Levi enjoyed wearing off some of his energy.

Here's the group of colporteurs who were staying at our house, and who were stranded for a snow day because of all that white stuff!
There's nothing more beautiful than seeing the sunshine make the snow sparkle.

After the colporteurs left, Daniel and Kristina flew to California to visit his Grandpa and family. Lucas stayed behind with Anton, who house-sitted for us. Here's our view of Chicago from the plane.

"Grandpa" and "Grandma" Silverman enjoyed spending two days with us.

We headed to San Diego to spend an afternoon with Daniel's Uncle Gary and family.
We had a nice visit with Uncle Gary, Joanne, and the rest of the family!

We were glad to have David back with us again!

Another snow fall. We're thankful for our neighbor's plow, because the county never came out and plowed us this winter!
Daniel's Christmas gift--Scrabble! YAY! Promising lots of winter evening fun. :)
After Christmas, we headed to Maryland for GYC. But we came out a couple days early, so we could tour Washington DC with Lucas and Danielle.
