After GYC, we headed to Pennsylvania for Emily Caza and Andrew Berlin's wedding. This was the decorated reception hall.
Emily and her Dad (Pastor Steve Caza)
Meeting the happy groom. :)
Alan Parker did the service.
At the end, Andrew swooped her off her feet and carried her down the aisle!
The cute little cake.
Daniel and Kristina with Emily and Andrew.
Kristina's Uncle Bernard and Aunt Shirley's house in Maryland.
We really enjoyed our visit with them and were so thankful for their willingness to let us stay there!
The view from their house.
After we got home, it stayed very cold--around 0F and below, for a week or two, so we decided to check out the icicles at Eagle Falls.
They were quite impressive!

Lucas found a bigger one!
Look out!
Lucas, king of the icicles
Poor Lucas, his must have broke, because he got put in icicle prison :(
He managed to escape though :)

It was so much fun sliding around on the ice-covered rocks behind the falls!

Daniel and Kristina's version of Sweetheart Scrabble. ;)
The next week was cold too, so we headed off to Yahoo Falls to see the ice there.
Ice along the trail.

Our first glimpse of Yahoo Falls in ice.
Daniel exploring the base of the ice.
Lucas (bottom) and Daniel (Right) had fun climbing all around it. That pile of ice was massive!
Kristina taking a closer look.
A few candid shots of us climbing around... here's Kristina trying to climb over a log....
Success! Now David's turn...
Oh no!! Look out!
Daniel and Kristina enjoying the view, with Yahoo Falls behind them.
Daniel and Kristina had to do their share of climbing up the ice. The water was just misting down, so it wasn't hard to climb. We estimated the ice to be about 18 feet high.
Parting shot of the ice as we hiked up the trail to the top of the falls.
First view of the top of the falls.
Looking straight down.... (Kristina's arm and the camera were the only two things hanging over the edge. The rest of her stayed a good distance away, holding securely to a tree)
Daniel's spring bouquet of flowers to brighten the snowy winter weather. :)
Lucas' birthday cake--my first try at a layered carob cake. Turned out nice!
Lucas birthday party all ready for him to get home from school.
Happy 17th birthday, Lucas!
Our indoor garden to cheer us all winter.
The plants in the living room.
Lucas' desk in the living room. It's nice and hot there when the wood stove is going full blast!
More plants on Kristina's desk.
A sunny day, with 55F weather the end of January sent us hiking out to Buzzard Rock to soak up the sunshine.
Daniel, Lucas, and David checking out the view down...
It's a long ways down there!
