Next day was 4th of July, so we had a fun party at our house! We had corn on the cob, pasta salad, tomato sandwiches, watermelon, cherry pie, blueberry pie, and strawberry ice cream! Here's the group who joined us. :)
Kristina's mother and Kimberly worked together on a jumper for Kristina. Here she is modeling it with the two seamstresses. :)
After Kristina's parents headed back to WA, one of our churches hosted a baby shower for our dear friends, Jason and Midori.

We drove with Daniel's parents down to Sergent York Memorial to meet his Dad's cousin.
The old mill and falls were our backdrop for our picnic lunch.

The two cousins see each other for the first time since they were young. :)
Kristina and Daniel carrying their "baby".....
....watermelon! lol Ok. that's an inside joke. Kristina wrapped the watermelon in a blanket to keep it cold, because it was too big for the ice chest. His mother saw her carrying this wrapped blanket and asked if it was a baby!
Daniel hugging his "baby"
So much for that idea.....
Yummy!
We had a scrumptious picnic lunch together.
Kim being a "kid" on the swings.

It's time for tomatoes! Once again, Kim had the a-peeling job. :)
The tomatoes were HUGE!
Three tomatoes nearly filled the dishpan
Two hands--One tomato
Three tomatoes barely fit in the 7 qt kettle
We worked for 2 days and ended up with 96 quarts of mostly whole tomatoes (a few jars of that were crushed tomatoes)
Daniel went on an excursion through the National Forest to hunt down firewood.
Here's a fallen tree he found--not sure he figured out how to get a chainsaw big enough to cut it though....
Our friends, Krystal and Steven and their 4 children came to visit for nearly a week. Kimberly had fun with the baby.
Almost can scoot over there......
