New kitten

Friday morning we were surprised to hear a very loud meow at our door! When we opened it, there sat a tiny kitten, starving and dehydrated--and crawling with fleas!
Friday morning we were surprised to hear a very loud meow at our door! When we opened it, there sat a tiny kitten, starving and dehydrated--and crawling with fleas!
The poor thing was so scared! It would purr when you looked at it or talked to it, but would run if you tried to reach out and touch it.

After some food and water, and a couple hours of coaxing, Kristina finally managed to get it into her lap. First thing we did, was give it flea medication!

We soon discovered it was a she and named her Marble.

A few hours later, we found Marble up in a tree, panting and exhausted. Daniel rescued her and she was very thirsty when she got back down!

Claws, on the other hand, isn't quite so happy! Here's Claws trying to explain the rules through growls and hisses.

Marble has officially adopted us and if we are outside, she won't let us out of her sight! She's still a bit shy, but it's going away very rapidly!

We celebrated Daniel's Dad's birthday a couple week's late, and surprised him with a cake! Here's Daniel lighting the candles.

Daniel and Kristina hiked up to Buzzard Rock to see the view with green trees. It was so pretty up there and the sunshine felt so good after a week of rain!
