Our first weekend back was year-end meetings for the Southern Union Literature Evangelists. This was the view from our hotel room in Pigeon Forge.
The Smokies were so majestic on the horizon.
Watching the sunrise over the mountains on Friday morning was very special.
The meetings were very inspiring and practical.
On Friday afternoon, we headed up towards Newfound Gap to see the mountains. The sky was perfectly clear and the mountains were beautiful!
The rivers and streams, with their icy boulders were incredible!
We saw lots of icicles along the road.
Kristina thrilled to be back in the mountains again.
The view from the very top at the Gap was AMAZING!
The full moon with the glow over the mountain.
Moon and an airplane in the same shot!

Our next adventure took us to Michigan with Daniel's parents, to visit Timothy and Andrew. We stayed with Kristina's Uncle John and Aunt Terri. This was their backyard the day we arrived.

The end of January, Kristina flew to Saskatchewan for Rose and Gordon's marriage renewal ceremony. This was her view in Toronto, where she changed planes.
It was dry and cold, and a blizzard was blowing in, so the snow was all powder.
Jet ready to take off.
Billows of snow that it left behind!
Kristina had a perfect view of the wing and the machines used to de-ice the plane!
She arrived in SK to -35 degrees! Here's her view from the back of Gordon's tractor during a snowy blizzard.
It brought back so many memories to see those snow-blown fields!
She enjoyed helping Gordon cut the bales for the cows again.
And the cows were very happy for some food!
Gordon chipping the ice from the water hole for them to drink.
Feeding the calves.

The most memorable part of the whole trip (besides the marriage renewal ceremony) was a beautiful northern lights show for a couple hours--the biggest one Kristina had ever seen! This picture doesn't do it justice...
