May began with a health fair at the Somerset Mall. Esther, Jim and Susan, John, and Daniel's parents all came out to help us man our three-table, 5 work-station booth!
Daniel, Jim and John ran the Literature table, with free drawings and information on the Encyclopedia of Foods, and their other books.
Esther and Kristina ran the cooking class table. We had food samples, free health literature, and invited people to our cooking classes.
Yes, we all had funny hats on. The theme for the health fair (chosen by the health department) was the Derby, because the fair was the day before the KY Derby. So everyone was asked to wear Derby Hats!
Ready to begin!
Mom and Dad ran the health age surveys, with the help of Susan.
It was a lot of work but a lot of fun!
The next weekend was Robert and Jephthae's wedding. Daniel was a groomsman and Kristina was wedding coordinator, so we were busy!

And having to make last minute decisions, as is normal for weddings!

Everyone grabbing a bite to eat.
Groomsmen giving Robert a bad time.

We, along with David and Kristina, were in charge of decorating the car, and we had a number of willing helpers!

We had a mission themed car!

It's about time! ... and .... Love Hurts! (inside joke with Robert)
Kristina and Danielle decorated in the inside of their windows with 50 - $2 bills.
The inside looking lovely!
Danielle and her family had carefully folded all 50 of them into little fans. They were so cute!
Almost finished!
With God, All things are possible!
David and Daniel hiding the keys in a balloon.
Passport required!
Newly weds, came back from their honeymoon just in time for Robert and Jephthae's wedding!
Almost there!
Robert and Jephthae's first glimpse of their car! They LOVED it! :D
We were the last ones to leave. Kimberly wanted a chance to be a kid again before we left! ;)
We spent Sabbath with Robert/Jephthae and their families and close friends at Yahoo Falls. It was so much fun having church outside!
Listening to the echo.
Amazing!!
Jephthae and her two sisters (and one sister's husband).
Copperhead sleeping along the trail.
They even left some of their decorations on the car!
Don't look back!
Saying goodbye to Robert and Jephthae as they headed off on their honeymoon,
David and Kristina A at the lookout at Yahoo Falls.
Daniel took his lunchbreak with the geese one day.
Erick came to visit us for a couple days, so we took him canoeing and swimming in the Cumberland River.
Siobhan was staying with us for the month of May, so she was tickled to be able to have a chance to canoe, too!
The weather was perfect!
Erick and Daniel climbed up the bank to check out an invisible waterfall.
It came out a hole and disappeared into another hole.
All the way down to a pool inside the rocks.
Then they looked back down at Kristina and Siobhan, who were waiting for them in the river.
That's what they looked like from below!
Back to the canoes!
The water was like a mirror!
Daniel gave Erick some lessons on solo-paddling a canoe, while standing up!
They had a lot of fun, too!
Erick caught on quickly and was soon paddling all over the lake!
Kristina likes to take pictures of Daniel... ;)
We stopped for a picnic lunch up on a rocky ledge overlooking the water, There was another ledge above us, which gave us some nice shade.
There's the ledge we ate on.
From up there, we could see all the fish and turtles swimming in the water below us.
The buzzards could see eveything, too!
That food tasted SOOOOO good! Pasta salad, Avocado/Tomato Sandwiches, Hummus, and Watermelon!
Looking back at our picnic ledge as we paddled away.
Goodbye picnic spot!
Check out the reflection in the water!
A butterfly came and hitched a ride with us for a while.
Kristina had fun getting some close-up views of it.
Daniel paddling away.
The sunshine made neat rays shining from over the ridge.
A family of Geese caught our attention, so we stopped and watched them for a few minutes.
More reflections.
On our way back home, we stopped at the Great Gulf overlook for a neat view just before the sun set over the ridge.
On Sabbath we took a hike to Princess Falls. This was a mushroom growing at the base of a tree.
Kristina enjoying the view at the bridge.
Erick and Kristina taking photos.
Here's the photo Kristina was taking from the bridge.
The other side of the bridge.
Danielle enjoying the scenery. Gives you a nice idea of size. :)

Another one of Daniel's shots.
And here was Kristina's shot!
Kristina's view of Princess Falls from just below the trail.
The overhang made a neat frame in this picture.

Then he waded to the other side to get some unique views from there.

More from Kristina's camera on the other side of the falls.
Looking down at the falls from the upper trail.
Kristina, Danielle, and Siobhan crossing the top of the falls.
The three girls. :) This was Kristina's last visit with Danielle before she left for a summer of canvassing and college, so it was sad saying goodbye.... But we're so happy that she's chosen to serve God for her life calling!
Wading up the creek above the falls. The water was COLD!
Daniel wading up the creek to join us.
Danielle and Siobhan.
Kristina resting on a log.
Looking down the creek beyond the falls.
Back at the river, headed up the trail to the car.
So peaceful and beautiful!
Took this picture for Kim--we're pretty sure this may have been the log we hauled her over last time she hiked this trail with us.
We had fun playing Blockus on Sat. night. That was a lot of fun!
This was the Sunday morning breakfast that Kristina made for Erick before he headed off. Waffles, strawberry/banana smoothie, fresh strawberries, shredded coconut and carob chips! Mmmmm!!
Kristina got another haircut just before Campmeeting so she could survive the hot weather there!
As usual, Jordan had fun playing with it. :) She's great!
Kristina is president of the McCreary County Homemakers Club (McCreary County Funmakers). A few of them posed for a group photo at the annual Regional Homemakers Meeting.
They are a fun group to work with!
We arrived at Campmeeting and found a beautiful speakers gift basket in our room with fresh fruit and goodies. That was so special!
Kyla and Israel came out to visit us on Sabbath. Miranda has really grown up!!
We were speakers all week at campmeeting--doing two meetings each day (one meeting repeated a second time). It was a lot of work and a lot of fun! Here, Kristina is doing a cooking demonstration.
