Our view from the hotel at GYC.
Sunday morning dawned beautiful and sunny!
It was nice to spend some time with our dear friend, Jared!
He's been Kristina's little brother since he was born! Hard to believe he's all grown up now. :)
Kristina took lots of pictures of the mountains on their way back to her parents' house.
Last views of Seattle...
Through the tunnel
Over the bridge.
Headed towards Snoqualmie Pass.
The mountains with the blue sky background and gorgeous sunshine were breathtaking!
Camera's can just never do them justice!
As they got closer to the pass, little puffs of clouds began to form on the mountain crests.
Soon the clouds grew thicker.
By the time they reached the pass, it was thick clouds and fog.
Reached the summit exit!
The snow was very thick and the banks were high on the side of the road.
Meanwhile, Daniel was on a plane headed back to KY. He had to be back at work on Monday morning!
Here was his view of Mount Rainier from the airplane window.
More mountains from the air
As Kristina and her parents headed down the other side of the pass, the scenery drastically changed.
Rolling hills and windmills dotted the snowy landscape.
Soon they reached the Columbia River George.
Going across the bridge.
Cute little cabin along the lake.
About this time, the sun was setting for Daniel in the air as he headed homeward.
Back at Kristina's parent's snowy wilderness.
The snow was still hanging over the fence, frozen in place!
More winter scenery nearby.
A week later, Kristina was headed back to the airport, and it decided to blizzard again!
She and her parents had to drive very slowly because of the thick snow on the unplowed roads!
But that didn't seem to stop traffic!
Thankfully it didn't delay her flight and soon she was flying to KY to be back with Daniel again!
The snowy mountains were beautiful in the sunshine.
Neat formations and patterns.
Kristina got to watch the sunset from the Denver airport.
Home again! Kristina had an unexpected treat of seeing a rainbow over our neighbor's house!
We spent Sabbath hiking around Cumberland Falls with Daniel's parents.
Evening mist rising off the river.
Mist next to Moonbow Bridge.

Spring Peeper forgot what month it was! We had a warm streak and this one hopped into our house one night when we opened the front door!
Beautiful creek down near our place.
Beautiful sunset a couple miles down from our house.
Kristina's parents came to visit us for two weeks!
Hiking through the woods behind our place.
